A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS
Has anyone ever offered to give you a penny for your thoughts? Some people get paid much more for their thoughts and opinions these days with blogging, writing articles, newspaper and magazine columns, etc. Many times thinkers don't get the recognition they deserve because apparently brain work is not equal to physical work in what is considered the 'normal' scheme of things in life. Then again those same people who criticize the thinkers who do the writing are told to get a 'real job'. Wonder if people who say that ever give it any thought of someone just like that is who wrote the newspaper article they are reading or that great novel they can't put down. I don't think they do! Writing is a form of art and with all art forms its not an easy nor quick task. For the most part, it is very time consuming with many frustrating attempts at getting started towards a progressive means to an ending. Thats not even counting all the drafts, edits, rewrites, edits time and time again. To be a good writer you have to love to write whether you get paid a penny for your thoughts or not.
