IT'S A WOMAN'S PEROGATIVE
I've been taught all my life it's a woman's perogative to change her mind. So I have took this catch all phrase and run with it! Just ask my husband! I change my mind so often its not funny to him anymore, if it ever was. Women are known for thier mood swings, PMS, and whatever else we can come up with to excuse our bad, awkward, emotional behavior. But speaking for myself, I can control myself to some extent. I didn't obtain that measure of control over night by any means! However, as I'm learning how to mellow out in my 'older and wiser' years of life, I've discovered what my dear precious husband has been trying to get me to understand all these years. In four little words "It don't change anything" . There it is, said it, and he's right. No matter how much I cry, rant, rave, stomp, throw things, complain, or whatever else I could think to do, my tirades and antics never brought about a solution to the problem. If anything it just made me feel worse, more upset, tired and on and on.
I do have to admit there is a lot more peace in my home now because of my revelation. Have you ever heard the phrase "no use crying over spilled milk"? Well, that would apply here. All the emotional blitz and drama has never changed the circumstances for the better. I even have to admit they never made me feel one bit better either! And my poor family bore the brunt of my bad behavior! I'm happy to confess now that I"m doing much better and peace is so much better than blowing up -it don't change anything!
