August Monday sunshine!
I've decided to have a good attitude today! It's Monday and the start of a new week so I will enjoy it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I can't hardly believe its August already. I'm so not ready for the autumn season. It's so depressing with all the splendor of nature dying all around like a cocoon of death encircling me, closing out the joy of life that I love. Does that sound morbid? Well, that's how I feel about the season we know as autumn. Even with the trees turning all the colors that look so brilliant across the hills of Kentucky, it is still a depressing sight to me. I know what comes next, the fall rains that will beat off those golden, orange, red leaves and leave the trees naked and exposed to the coming blast of harvest frost and bitter winter chill.
I do believe I've slipped off the banana peel from my opening statement in a big way! Would you concur? Now back to my previous outlook for today......................
I have garden corn, cut off the cob to fix and put away in the freezer. I have tomatoes to fix some salsa. I've not decided yet whether or not to have it to eat now or to freeze some.
